BOSTON (AP) - An ailing 79-year-old Massachusetts man convicted of insider trading is the target of a nationwide manhunt after he failed to show up at federal prison.
U.S. marshals tell the Boston Globe (https://bit.ly/2rNgnqb ) they are unsure if Robert Bray, of Watertown, has fled across the country or is nearby.
The real estate developer was convicted last year of buying stock in a bank after receiving an illegal tip that it was about to be sold. He made more than $300,000 on the deal.
Bray was ordered to spend two years in prison despite a request for leniency from his lawyer, citing numerous health problems.
He was last seen the day before he was to report to prison when he showed up in a hospital emergency room for a ruptured vein.
