FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - Three men were killed in two separate overnight crashes just miles apart.

The News-Press (https://goo.gl/XiyhPt ) reports that that the crashes occurred in Fort Myers early Friday morning.

Police say the first crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on the eastern side of town and left one person dead. Drugs or alcohol, along with excessive speed, were believed to be factors.

The second crash occurred about two hours later on the west side of the city and killed two people. Both were single-vehicle crashes.

Police didn’t immediately name the victims.
