BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - Three people found dead in a house near Georgia’s coast have been identified as a couple in their 60s and their 24-year-old grandson.

Police identified them as 64-year-old Carson Holliman and his wife, 63-year-old Vondell Holliman; and their 24-year-old grandson, Christopher Holliman, The Brunswick News reported .

The three were found dead Sunday in the Brunswick house.

The three were victims of homicide, said Stacy Carson, a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Carson would not comment on how they were killed.

Brunswick police have called in state investigators for assistance.

Officers who entered the house found evidence of foul play, Brunswick Police Chief Kevin Jones told The Florida Times-Union .

The couple’s next door neighbor, Reginald Beckham, said the pastor of the church the Hollimans attend came to check on them because they did not attend services that day. The pastor called police when they didn’t answer the door, Beckham told the Brunswick newspaper.

“They usually go to church on Sunday morning,” said Beckham, 45, who said he has lived next door to the Hollimans for two decades. “The preacher came by and asked did I see Mr. and Mrs. Holliman this morning. I said, no. He was worried because they didn’t show up for church.

“They was good people,” Beckham said. “Good people.”
