BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - Police in Brunswick have called in state investigators after the bodies of three people were found in a house.

Multiple news outlets report the Brunswick Police Department said officers were called to the house just after 1 p.m. Sunday when church members said they had not heard from the three residents. When police entered, they found three bodies inside.

The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/2sFeXgW) reports Brunswick Police Chief Kevin Jones described the dead as an older man and woman and a younger male. He said the officers who entered the house found evidence of foul play.

Neighbors told the newspaper the residents were an older couple who were rearing a grandson.

Brunswick police have called the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for assistance.

The names of the victims’ were not immediately released.
