BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) - Weather officials have issued flood warnings for portions of central and northeastern Illinois following weekend thunderstorms.

Included in Sunday’s National Weather Service flood warnings are Livingston, Kankakee, Ford and Iroquois counties.

Officials say standing water was also expected to be an issue in McLean County early Sunday. Authorities said railroad underpasses in Normal had standing water from the storm and motorists were advised to avoid the area.

Meteorologists say the heaviest rain fell in southeast Livingston County with estimates of up to 5 inches of rain. Weather officials say many flood-prone roads in the county are likely to be impassable Sunday morning.
