WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Tennessee are investigating the shooting of a woman accused of pointing a gun at two police officers.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said officers in White House responded to a call from a woman saying that she and her wife were having an altercation at a Motel 6 on Friday night.

Authorities say two officers approached a motel room and 34-year-old Samantha Redicker came out holding a gun. The bureau says she pointed the weapon at one of the officers at least twice.

The bureau says Redicker did not comply with multiple orders to drop the gun and the officers fired, injuring her. She was taken to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately known Saturday.

Redicker is white. The officers’ names and races were not immediately released.
