OPINION:
Here’s how the left works: They don’t get their way, so they cry, stamp feet, turn to special rights’ group to join in the crying and feet stamping, spin, deceive and steamroll over the Constitution — and now, apparently, shoot to kill.
Rep. Claudia Tenney, a New York Republican, received this in her email box, post-Alexandria, Virginia, shooting of the GOP’s Steve Scalise: “One down, 216 to go…”
That was the subject line.
The chilling message went on, Breitbart noted: “Did you NOT expect this? When you take away ordinary peoples lives in order to pay off the wealthiest among us, your own lives are forfeit. Certainly, your souls and morality were lost long before. Good riddance.”
The sender wasn’t identified.
Of course not. Because that’s also how the left works — hit hard, and hit anonymously, if need be.
That the email came right after James Hodgkinson, shot and injured House Majority Whip Steve Scalise; Zach Barth, the aide to Rep. Roger Williams; and two Capitol Police officers, Crystal Griner and David Bailey, makes an obvious connection: The left is angry. The left is armed and dangerous. And the left is coming for those with differing viewpoints.
The left even has a name for it. It’s called “Resistance Summer,” and it’s a creation, in part, of the Democratic National Committee to get out the grassroots to oppose all-things-Republican, particularly those associated with President Donald Trump.
A Tenney spokesperson called the email “really unfortunate,” while explaining “we get threats similar to this all the time.”
Perhaps — but this one is a bit different, a bit more chilling, given its timing, and its not-so-subtle reference to the Alexandra ball park shooting.
“The political discourse is just terrible,” the spokeswoman told Breitbart. “It’s getting out of control.”
Understood — but no.
This is not political discourse — this is violence and shoot-to-kill. And this is not getting out of control — it’s far past that point.
The left is deranged, pure and simple. The boundary of control for them has long since passed.
