When Kevin Durant won the MVP in 2014, he singled out his mother as “the real MVP.”

And on a night when he became an NBA champion, his mother was there to let him know what he accomplished. Durant was named the NBA Finals MVP after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers Monday in five games.

The two got emotional after the game and had a nice moment for viewers to see.

Durant had 39 points in the Warriors’ 129-120 win.
