DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities are looking for a man who escaped from a central Iowa work release facility.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/2ro7Ee1 ) that 34-year-old Joseph Patrick Polson was reported missing Monday from the Fort Des Moines Correctional Facility.

Officials say Polson was admitted to the facility on March 24. He was convicted of intimidation with a dangerous weapon in Polk County.

Officials say security video from the work release facility shows Polson exiting from the main door, taking items from his locker and then continuing northbound away from the facility’s grounds.
