As boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather and MMA star Conor McGregor negotiate to fight in a boxing ring, there will be many hurdles to clear before they can potentially get there.

One obstacle, according to ESPN, is the desired date.

Mayweather usually fights in Las Vegas on Mexican Independence Weekend, which falls on Sept. 16 this year. But middleweights Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez are fighting on that date in Las Vegas, so it is unavailable.

ESPN’s Dan Rafael reported Mayweather and McGregor are likely to fight Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.

Mayweather, 40, hasn’t fought since September 2015 when he beat Andre Berto by unanimous decision. McGregor has never boxed professionally, but last fought Eddie Alvarez in the UFC on Nov. 12, 2016.
