CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper has arrested a man believed to be connected to the killing of a woman who was found dead in a restaurant’s basement.

The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/2ttSp10 ) 57-year-old Emigdio Lara was hitchhiking on Wednesday when the trooper spotted and arrested him.

Lara has been wanted in connection to the killing of 21-year-old Victoria Juarez, who was found dead on June 26.

Authorities say Lara was living in the basement and the two might have been dating before the incident.

Lara was charged on June 28 based on surveillance video evidence.

Authorities say Juarez appeared to have suffered injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and strangulation, as well as several lacerations.
