LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas firefighters believe illegal fireworks sparked a blaze that damaged two homes during Fourth of July celebrations.

One fire started Tuesday in a palm tree before spreading to four other palm trees and two houses.

Las Vegas Fire Department Public Education and Information Officer Tim Szymanski says one of the houses had exterior and interior damage while the other had minor exterior damage. Seven people were displaced. Nobody was injured.

Szymanski says Tuesday marked the most illegal fireworks usage on Fourth of July.
