Former Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has taken to Twitter to express his desire to keep working — while the Baltimore Ravens pondered signing him. 

Griffin’s Twitter feed lately has been filled with vague inspirational sayings, which might be a shot at NFL teams not signing him as training camp begins. The most telling tweet is Griffin retweeting his fiancee, who quoted one of his tweets and added, “know your worth baby.” 

Meanwhile, Ravens owner Steve Biscotti told season ticket holders at a fan forum this weekend that Griffin is being considered for a potential job, according to ProFootballTalk. The Ravens are in need of an extra quarterback with starter Joe Flacco dealing with a minor back injury. The Ravens, perhaps more noteworthy, have explored signing Colin Kaepernick, as well. 

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley reported Sunday the Ravens’ interest in Griffin “is no longer in play.” 

Since being released in March from the Cleveland Browns, Griffin’s market has been quiet. Last week, the Los Angeles Chargers brought Griffin in for a workout before ultimately trading for Buffalo’s Cardale Jones. 

Griffin tweeted Friday, two days after the Chargers traded for Jones, to not “compromise just because people don’t see your vision.” 

Last season, Griffin threw for 886 yards in five games for two touchdowns and three inceptions as the Cleveland Browns starter. He missed most of the year with a shoulder injury. 

Griffin, the 2012 No. 2 overall pick, played in Washington for three seasons, including a spectacular rookie season where the Redskins made the playoffs.
