Pitchers Justin Verlander and Yu Darvish were two of the names often mentioned as trade rumors swirled ahead of Monday’s 4 p.m. non-waiver trade deadline.

With the deadline fast approaching, both players decided to make fun of the trade reporting process, taking selfies in front of their lockers.

A level of irony was added to Darvish’s post minutes later, however, as multiple reports confirmed that he had been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for three prospects.
