Radio host Mark Levin says the Trump administration’s infighting is an embarrassment that would not have been tolerated by Ronald Reagan.
Sexually explicit comments made by White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci to The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza this week elicited an angry response from Mr. Levin, who served as a chief of staff for Attorney General Edwin Meese during the Reagan administration.
Mr. Levin told his millions of listeners Thursday night that constant leaks are threatening to derail President Trump’s entire agenda.
“I can promise you that if this kind of crap went on in the Reagan White House, heads would roll. They absolutely would,” Mr. Levin said, Conservative Review reported. “These guys step on their own message with all this leaking going on. If you support Donald Trump, then you don’t sit back and excuse all of this. You just don’t.
“Do you think this kind of internecine warfare makes America great again?” he continued. “It makes these guys look stupid, moronic, pathetic! That’s not how you serve your president, in my view.”
Mr. Levin’s comments came just hours after The New Yorker published pointed and vulgar comments Mr. Scaramucci made about White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, Steve Bannon.
“Reince is a f——-g paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Mr. Scaramucci said at one point.
Mr. Bannon’s professional ambitions were likened to sexual self-gratification.
“I made a mistake in trusting in a reporter. It won’t happen again,” Mr. Scaramucci tweeted Thursday night.

Mr. Levin said the president and the Republican Party would likely pay a severe price at the ballot box if they don’t “get their act together” soon.
“You can’t have your communications director calling a liberal reporter for a liberal news outlet saying the kinds of things this man said,” he said.
“The president is under brutal attack, and he really needs some pros around him. Get rid of these Obama holdovers throughout the government,” Mr. Levin said.
