BOSTON (AP) - A member of a Cape Cod-based gang has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a drug dealing operation.

The Cape Cod Times (https://bit.ly/2tYNtzJ ) reports that 31-year-old Tyrone Gomes, of Hyannis, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Boston. Gomes, a member of the Nauti-Block gang, will also be on supervised release for eight years.

In April, Gomes pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.

He is also facing murder charges in connection with the 2015 killing of Christine Ferreira. He has pleaded not guilty in that case.
