ALGODONES, N.M. (AP) - The Latest on a shooting on Interstate 25 in New Mexico (all times local):

A New Mexico State Police spokeswoman says gunfire between an armed robbery suspect and law enforcement officers on Interstate 25 left a stolen truck and police vehicles shot up with bullet holes but that nobody was injured and the suspect is in custody.
Lt. Elizabeth Armijo says the suspect stopped on the freeway in Algodones (ahl-goh-DOHN’-ehz) after pursuing State Police and Santa Fe County officers returned fire when the suspect shot at police vehicles on southbound I-15 north of Albuquerque.
Armijo says the pursuit began when a sheriff’s deputy in southern Santa Fe spotted a pickup stolen Tuesday morning during an armed robbery in southern San Miguel County.
The State Police spokeswoman says officers returned fire because the suspect was putting their lives and the public in danger and needed to be taken into custody.
Algodones is 25 miles (40.23 kilometers) north of Albuquerque.

Authorities say southbound traffic on a stretch of Interstate 25 north of Albuquerque is being detoured following a shooting involving a suspect and at least one law enforcement officer.
A New Mexico State Police spokesman says initial information indicates the shooting Tuesday morning at Algodones (ahl-goh-DOHN’-ehz) occurred during a traffic stop of a vehicle reported as stolen.
State Police spokesman Carl Christiansen says no officers were injured but that he didn’t have confirmed information on the status of the suspect.
Further details aren’t immediately available.
One northbound lane of I-25 remains open. Southbound traffic has been routed onto a frontage road.
