PHOENIX (AP) - Gov. Doug Ducey has appointed a Bullhead City lawyer who is a member of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors as a Superior Court judge.

An announcement Tuesday by Ducey’s office says Steven Moss will fill a vacancy created by Judge Steven Conn’s June 30 retirement.

Moss has served on the county board since 2013 and previously served on the Colorado River Union High School District board.

Moss was one of three applicants interviewed by a gubernatorial panel. The other applicants were Justice Court Judge Jill Wachtel Davis and Superior Court Commissioner Billy Sipe.
