Top Washington Nationals prospect Victor Robles has been promoted to Double-A Harrisburg, according to his agent.

Robles, an outfielder, is being promoted after hitting .289/.377/.485 in High-A Potomac this season. Robles, who the Nationals signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2013, is regarded as Washington’s best prospect and one of the top prospects in baseball.

MLB.com’s “Prospect Watch” ranks Robles as the fifth best prospect.

Since Robles is the Nationals’ most valuable asset not on the roster, his name has often come up in trade talks. However, Washington has shown no inclination they’re willing to part with the 20-year-old.

Robles will likely make his Harrisburg Senators debut against the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the San Francisco Giants’ Double-A affiliate, as the teams begin a three-game series starting Monday.

The Nationals have had a series of injuries to their outfield lately, promoting 2015 second-round pick Andrew Stevenson to its main roster while Chris Heisey was sent to the disabled list.
