LINCOLN, Maine (AP) - Authorities in Maine say a crash involving a motorcycle and a car has left one person dead and another injured.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2uYpZ31 ) the crash happened in Lincoln around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Police say a motorcycle driven by 50-year-old Jeffrey Ludden, of Howland, went into a skid and struck a car on U.S. Route 2.

Authorities say Ludden died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the car was taken to Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln and treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.

An investigation is ongoing.
