OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - A man whose wife claimed a tram struck her foot on a Maryland boardwalk has been arrested and police say an officer stunned him with a Taser when he became disorderly.

The Daily Times reports the incident happened Thursday evening. Ocean City police spokeswoman Lindsay Richard says the man had resisted and was stunned by the arresting officer after his wife claimed “her foot was run over” by a transport vehicle.

Richard says the officer used a Taser when “the husband became disorderly and was arrested.” She says the wife had refused to move from the path of a passing tram and declined treatment by emergency medical responders afterward.

Richard says that more details should come in a Friday police report.

Identities of the husband and wife weren’t released.
