GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - The National Park Service is seeking public input before it decides whether to raise fees at a Wyoming national monument for a second time this year.
The Gillette News Record reports (https://bit.ly/2tfNcK7 ) the prices at Devils Tower National Monument, located in northeastern Wyoming, were raised to $30 for an annual pass, $15 for a vehicle, $7 per person and $10 for a motorcycle in January.
The National Park Service is proposing raising the fees to $40, $20, $10 and $15 respectively to match the prices at other national monuments.
The federal agency will be accepting letters submitted on its website or sent via mail or email through Aug. 31. They will also hold two public meetings in Hulett and Sundance.
