PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Providence man accused of killing his cousin and dumping his body in a city garbage bin faces 40 years to life in prison.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2td3hiK ) that Marcos Hernandez pleaded no contest Tuesday to second-degree murder and other offenses in the June 25, 2014 death of 42-year-old Agustin Jaiman.

Prosecutors say Jaiman sold drugs in an operation that involved Hernandez, and had accused Hernandez of not giving him all of his profits, leading to an argument.

Prosecutors say Hernandez, who was 20 at the time, shot and killed Jaiman and placed his body in a garbage bin in a wooded area in Providence. The body was found nearly three months later.

Hernandez was arrested in Orlando, Florida last year.

He will be sentenced on Sept. 18.
