A Pennsylvania man on Sunday started a GoFundMe page with the goal of raising $30 for “legroom” for Ann Coulter.
Established by one Davon Magwood of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and listed in the “emergency” category on the crowdfunding website, the page was set up as a way to mock the syndicated conservative columnist’s tweetstorm on Saturday against Delta for allegedly booting her from an emergency-exit row seat that she had specifically reserved for an additional $30 fare.
Miss Coulter’s tirade resulted in “Ann Coulter” trending on the social-media site Saturday evening, and in the past two days many users have denounced the longtime TV pundit as a “snowflake,” while others defended her, saying they would boycott Delta in protest for mistreating the best-selling author.
“Yesterday an injustice happened to one of America’s sh—est people,” Mr. Magwood explained on his “Ann Coulter needs leg room” page.
“Sure, she mocks 9-11 widows and black people getting killed by police officers and repordedly lives off a diet of the souls of fresh puppies.
But, she’s an American and when Americans need help we step up! #MAGA #Snowflakes #ThisDoesntCountAsWelfare”
“All she wanted was some extra leg room. Thats it, and what did she get? No leg room, almost like she was a common poor!” he quipped.
“So please, find it in your heart to give this alleged human money so the next time she doesn’t harass an innocent girl on a flight because airlines are the only entity as souless as her and she got a seat that Ann wanted.”
As of time of publication, $10 has been raised from two donors, one of whom is anonymous.
For its part, Delta has since tweeted that they are refunding Miss Coulter for the additional money she had paid for the designated seat, a move which has not assuaged the columnist’s ire.
“If you thought it was about $30, @Delta, why didn’t you give this woman $30 and let me stay in my PRE-BOOKED, ASSIGNED seat?” Miss Coulter tweeted at 2 a.m. ET Monday, including a photo showing the woman whom Delta placed in her seat.
