PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A New York developer’s plan for a high-rise could soon be considered by the commission that oversees what gets built on land freed up when Interstate 195 was moved.
I-195 Redevelopment District Commission executive director Peter McNally tell The Providence Journal (https://bit.ly/2uxDaHD ) that Jason Fane has been working with officials on updating a proposal for one luxury high-rise on the Providence River.
McNally says he expects The Fane Organization to submit a revised proposal before the commission meets again, which could be this week.
The commission has required Fane to provide them with a project budget, information about sources of capital and the source of any governmental help with financing.
McNally says the commission is considering taking action to move the proposal further along when it meets again.
