BURNS, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon man has died after crashing his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports (https://bit.ly/2tefSGv ) the man crashed his motorcycle Friday morning on a highway 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of Burns.

Police say they’re not sure why 61-year-old Dan Barnum drifted off the highway. They say he was traveling 5 mph (8 kph) above the speed limit.

Barnum was pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving efforts failed.
