NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City are searching for two suspects accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes in a series of drug store thefts.
The New York Police Department says the two men first struck at a Brooklyn Rite Aid on June 1. Police say the pair stole cigarettes from several other stores throughout the month of June. Authorities say one of the suspects cut a drug store employee with a knife during one of the incidents.
Investigators say the duo has stolen more than $10,000 in cigarettes.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspects.
