RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The Maryland State Police have arrested a Los Angeles man wanted in a stabbing death in North Carolina.
Raleigh police spokeswoman Laura Hourigan said in a news release that troopers arrested 29-year-old Sean Flores of Los Angeles on Interstate 70 near Hagerstown, Maryland, early Monday. Troopers say Flores was driving 90 mph (145 kph) in a car stolen in North Carolina before he was stopped.
Hourigan says Flores is charged in the stabbing of 44-year-old David Choko Brown Saturday night. Brown died Sunday in a Raleigh hospital.
In Maryland, Flores is charged with speeding and other traffic offenses.
It was not immediately clear when North Carolina authorities will request Flores’ extradition to face charges.
