MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - A man who sexually abused girls he lured through Facebook has been sentenced to over six years in prison.

The Mail Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/Aibmhf ) 21-year-old Maitland Kamaunu was sentenced Friday.

Kamaunu previously pleaded guilty to online sexual corruption, sodomy, two counts of unlawful delivery of marijuana to a minor and two counts of rape.

He said in court that he was young and immature and acted selfishly in the nearly two years between 2013 and 2015 that he sexually abused girls he met online.

The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office says he used Facebook to find and communicate with the girls, who were all 14 and 15 years old.

The district attorney’s office says he would then invite the girls to meet him at his house in Talent or at various community parks.
