SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The inaugural ball for new Vermont Gov. Phil Scott is being held at the Army aviation facility at the Burlington International Airport.
The Saturday evening event will feature remarks from the head of the Vermont National Guard, Maj. Gen. Steven Cray, and Scott, who took the oath of office on Thursday.
The deadline to buy tickets for the event has passed.
All proceeds from the event will benefit charities supporting those who have served in the military and those who continue to serve.
Scott, a Republican, won the governorship in November.
