ATLANTA (AP) - Police say a man accused of raping a woman after she walked her daughter to the school bus has been arrested in Atlanta.

Atlanta police spokesman Donald Hannah tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/2j8aziF ) that Demarcus West arrested around 6 a.m. Thursday at a house nearly three months after the incident in October last year.

Hannah says the woman told police she left her apartment door unlocked when she walked her child to the bus. The woman returned to her apartment and the suspect was waiting for her.

Maj. Adam Lee III believes West is connected to other rape incidents.
