ROME, N.Y. (AP) - JetBlue says it will be bringing more planes to Griffiss International Airport for maintenance under a deal with Premier Aviation.
The companies announced Wednesday they’ve signed a five-year heavy maintenance agreement for JetBlue’s fleet of Embraer 190 aircraft. The work will be done at Premier’s facility in Rome. Two paint lines for the aircraft will also be established at the Rome facility.
The company employs more than 150 people in Rome.
Sen. Charles Schumer said he has worked with JetBlue to bring their service to Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester and Albany, and now Rome will service the airline’s planes.
