The toxicology report from Carrie Fisher’s autopsy has been temporarily held back for public release by local officials, People magazine reported Wednesday.
The decision, termed a “security hold,” is not uncommon in cases involving the deaths of high-profile persons, the magazine noted, citing a source with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. It’s unclear whether the hold is a result of an ongoing law-enforcement investigation.
The 60-year-old actress died Dec. 27, four days after suffering a heart attack on board a transatlantic flight from London. Her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, died the following day.
Entertainment Today reported on Wednesday that Fisher’s body has been cremated and that some of her ashes will be buried along with Reynolds’ body.
A private memorial service for both Fisher and Reynolds is scheduled for Thursday, with a burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills set for Friday, according to earlier reports.
