NEW YORK (AP) - The Rockefeller Foundation, which doles out nearly $200 million to various charitable causes each year, has picked its new president.
The New York Times (https://nyti.ms/2jbv4ix ) reports that Rajiv J. Shah, a trustee of the organization, will succeed Judith Rodin, who has been president for 12 years.
The 43-year-old Shaw is the youngest person and the first Indian-American to lead the philanthropic organization founded in 1913 by oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller.
Shaw recently ran the United States Agency for International Development. He also worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for nearly 10 years.
