NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a delivery driver in Newark.

The agency said in a news release that the driver was delivering bread to a Burger King about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Troopers say the driver went to the back door of the restaurant and was confronted by a man armed with a handgun.

Police say the gunman ordered the driver to get on the ground. The suspect took the driver’s wallet from the driver’s pants pocket, but tossed it aside after seeing there was no money in it and fled.

No injuries were reported.
