The most contentious Hollywood breakup of 2016 appears to show no signs of cooling down as Angelina Jolie hints Brad Pitt was abusive toward at least one of the couple’s six children, People magazine reported Wednesday.

While the starlet agreed to a request by her estranged husband to seal court documents pertaining to custody arrangements, her attorney’s fired a shot at Mr. Pitt in a recent court filing.

“There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse,” the filing reads, People reported.

Separate investigations by the FBI and DCFS found no evidence of wrongdoing by Mr. Pitt in an alleged September altercation involving the movie star and his eldest son Maddox.

Even so, a source close to Ms. Jolie told People that while Mr. Pitt’s “behavior didn’t amount to anything criminal, that doesn’t mean he didn’t do anything wrong.”

“The kids are traumatized,” the source said. “The mom has been protecting the kids by not revealing what really happened on that plane. Her interest since the outset hasn’t changed: to protect the health and safety of the kids.”
