EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting that left a 17-year-old Henderson County High School dead.

The Evansville Courier & Press reports (https://bit.ly/2ibv9P2) a grand jury indicted 25-year-old Joshua Bumphus on a charge of first-degree assault and 18-year-old Elijah Roberts for murder.

Authorities say it appears student Autumn Burkhart was an unintended victim in a fight in an alley between the men in November. She died during surgery at an Evansville hospital.

Both men remain in custody. It was immediately unclear if they had attorneys.
