LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say a security guard was shot while patrolling a neighborhood and a search for the suspect is underway.
The Las Vegas Sun reports (https://bit.ly/2ixJrwd ) that the 60-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder Monday night. He was hospitalized with injuries that were not life threatening and is reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities say the unarmed security guard had been walking around the neighborhood when he came across the suspect. He asked the man, in his early 20s, if he lived in the area when the suspect pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots.
The shooter fled the area and remains on the loose.
