EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities in Evansville say the body of a 15-year-old boy was found outside a high school as students were returning to school after the winter break.

Evansville police Sgt. Jason Cullum tells the Evansville Courier and Press (https://bit.ly/2hOzOst ) that the teen was found Tuesday outside Central High School.

The newspaper reports he was identified as Roman M. Kellough. School officials say Kellough was a former student who’d left school at the end of the fall semester.

Cullum says Kellough’s body was found by another student outside the school just before 7 a.m. School officials and authorities were alerted.

Students were allowed into school but authorities diverted them from the doors closest to where the body was found.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s office didn’t immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
