KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - A man suspected in a shooting last month in Kingman has been arrested at the Arizona-Mexico border.

Kingman police said Wednesday that 19-year-old Jose Baubel Reyes remains jailed in Yuma County awaiting extradition to Mohave County.

Reyes was arrested last Thursday at the San Luis Port of Entry on suspicion of felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was wanted in connection with the Dec. 30 shooting of a 15-year-old Kingman boy that authorities believe was a drug-related dispute.

The teenager suffered a shoulder wound and was hospitalized for a week.

Authorities say Reyes fled to his native Mexico after the shooting, but decided to turn himself in and made arrangements with the San Luis Police Department.
