In a time when our nation, nay, our world is riven with contentious conflict, here’s something we can all agree on: Madame Tussaud’s of Berlin really blew it with their take on Ryan Gosling.

A photo of the waxy doppelgänger on Twitter has gone viral as critics note that the statue is pale imitation of the artistry of the London branch of the world-famous wax museum, much less the real deal himself.

A wax figure of Mr. Gosling debuted in Madame Tussaud’s of London in 2014.

“Ryan gosling wax figure in Berlin vs the one in London,” tweeted a fan from Philadelphia Monday as she attached photos of the Berlin and London likenesses of the 36-year-old leading man in the Oscar-nominated “La La Land.” “[H]ow are these the same person[?]” she asked.

Entertainment news sites are certainly having a field day with the news.

E! News observed the likeness looked like more like “Dawson’s Creek” alum James Van Der Beek or “Man From U.N.C.L.E.” star Armie Hammer, while Esquire pronounced it “a vast injustice” to Mr. Gosling’s “handsomeness.”
