TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) - Northern Utah authorities are looking for two masked gunmen who are considered armed and dangerous after they held up a gas station and shot a clerk south of Salt Lake City.
United Police Detective Ken Hansen said the 21-year-old clerk who was shot at the Exxon Gas Station in Taylorsville at 4:10 a.m. Monday was in serious condition at a local hospital.
Hansen says the robbers were wearing dark colored, hooded sweatshirts and bandanas over their faces when they entered the store, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.
He says the clerk complied, but as the suspects were about to leave, one fired multiple rounds, striking the clerk.
Hansen says the men were white or Hispanic. One was wearing green pajama shorts and slippers. He says they should be considered “armed and extremely dangerous.”
