JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Aubrey Williams notched his 12th double-double of the season, scoring 25 points with 16 rebounds, as Kennesaw State upended Jacksonville 81-71 on Saturday night.
Williams was 11 of 14 from the floor for the Owls (8-13, 2-3 Atlantic Sun). Kendrick Ray added 22 points and six assists and James Scott had 18 points.
Williams scored 14 points in the first half and Ray and Scott combined for five 3-pointers in the period to help lift the Owls to a 43-25 advantage at the break.
Williams sank two more layups, Jordan Jones dunked and Ray hit another 3-pointer as the Owls surged 9-2 to start the second half to a 52-27 lead. Jacksonville trailed by double figures through most of the period, briefly closing to seven points, 75-68, with 2:02 to go.
J.R. Holder scored 24 points for the Dolphins (13-9, 1-4) who have lost four of their last five.
