MEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine will talk about the importance of public service, U.S. policy priorities and America’s role in the world during a visit to Tufts University.
The U.S. senator from Virginia will visit Tufts in Medford, Massachusetts, on Monday to participate in a conversation with Alan Solomont, dean of Jonathan M. Tisch College for Civic Life and former U.S. ambassador to Spain and Andorra.
The event is open to members of the Tufts community.
Kaine was Hillary Clinton’s running mate in the 2016 presidential election. He is a former governor of Virginia and chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
