As the Democratic Party’s fundraiser-in-chief for the past eight years, President Obama made one final pitch to supporters for donations late Thursday night, urging them to “fight back” against Republicans and the incoming Trump administration.

“This is the last time I’ll write to you as president,” Mr. Obama said in an email to Democrats. “I’ve always been able to rely on you to step up when it mattered most. Can I count on you again?”

The email offers recipients several options for donating small amounts of cash to the party.

Mr. Obama’s presidency ends at 11:47 a.m. Friday, when Republican Donald Trump takes the oath of office.
