Unlike many congressional Democrats, Hillary Clinton will attend Friday’s inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, saying she’s at the event to “honor our democracy.”

Mrs. Clinton, the former first lady who lost a bruising 2016 presidential election to Mr. Trump, arrived at the inauguration Friday morning alongside her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Mrs. Clinton largely has been silent since her stunning loss to Mr. Trump in November.

“I’m here today to honor our democracy & its enduring values,” the former secretary of state tweeted. “I will never stop believing in our country & its future. #Inauguration.”
