FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) - Authorities have identified the person killed in a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas that also left 10 people injured.

Arkansas State Police said in a preliminary report released Monday that 68-year-old David White of Forrest City died in the crash Friday afternoon on I-40 in St. Francis County. According to the report, the pileup happened when six vehicles slowed on the interstate because of another accident. The report says the seventh vehicle in line - a tractor-trailer - did not stop and crashed into White’s vehicle, which created the massive pileup.

The 10 injured included two children. State police say the injured passengers were taken to hospitals in Forrest City and in Memphis, Tennessee.
