CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago Theatre Week 2017 is just weeks away and tickets are on sale.

The 5th annual celebration of live theater in the Second City will be held Feb. 9 to 19, and include more than 120 theater productions at locales in the city’s neighborhoods and suburbs.

All tickets are priced at $30, $15 or less.

The theater extravaganza is sponsored by the League of Chicago Theatres in partnership with Choose Chicago .

Deb Clapp is director of the League of Chicago Theatres. She says the event underscores that Chicago is known locally and internationally for its theatre scene - “especially this season for generating new work (and) showcasing fresh talent.”

Nearly 11,000 Chicago residents and visitors from 40 states attended a show featured in last year’s Chicago Theatre Week lineup.
