WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - A hospital system that covers much of rural Pennsylvania has announced plans to hire more than 150 nurses.
Geisinger Health System said Tuesday that positions are available in clinical and office locations in the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton region for experienced nurses and new graduates. Jobs will be offered in critical care, the emergency department and other areas.
Geisinger is offering hiring incentives that include bonuses of up to $15,000.
The network has 12 hospitals in 45 Pennsylvania counties and southern New Jersey, up from two hospitals that served 30 Pennsylvania counties 10 years ago.
