SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. (AP) - Law enforcement officers are searching for a 9-year-old child who is missing after a boating accident on Lake Jackson.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/2j13UHl ) reports that the accident occurred Sunday in the Turtle Cove area. An adult was thrown from the boat and swam to shore.
Department of Natural Resources spokesman Mark McKinnon says searchers are looking for the child by air and underwater by sonar and robotic vehicles.
The child has been missing since early Sunday morning.
